About Cody
Cody Shane Ware’s career started at the age of 16 years old, when he began racing legends cars. He ran over 50 races his first year in racing, gathering lots of valuable seat time and experience. He traveled throughout the southeast learning a variety of tracks and learning to race in different conditions. The highlight of his rookie year was competing in the summer shootout at charlotte motor speedway in the semi-pro division.

After just one year of racing, Cody took the jump into late models at the age of 17, getting an opportunity to compete on the west coast for the same team that his father drove for years ago. With some adequate experience under his belt, he began racing late model stocks back home in North Carolina in the NASCAR whelen all american series.

Halfway through his second year of racing, Cody was presented the opportunity to compete in both the weekly and touring modified series, where he picked up the skills needed to be an aggresive and smart racer. He competed at a variety of tracks on the Whelen Southern Modified Tour, and ran several races at the legendary Bowman Gray Stadium.

Cody made a strong start to his third year of racing at the age of 18 years old, where he competed in the 2nd annual Daytona Battle at the Beach, bringing home a strong top 10 finish after fighting hard with the best modified drivers in the nation. Soon after, he began to dive into the world of road course racing, competing in both IMSA and SCCA sanctioned events.

The summer months of 2014 would prove to be a very exciting time for Cody Shane, a time of many firsts. He debuted in the IMSA Lamborghini Super Trofeo at Watkins Glen, scoring two podium finishes. A month later he debuted in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, bringing home a 15th place finish in his first race with his father’s team.

Cody has since continued to compete in both the Super Trofeo series and various Nationwide Series races. He plans to continue building his career with his father and his team in NASCAR, while pursuing various opportunities in the world of road racing.
